A woman was dragged out of her office, abducted and later raped by a man in Punjab's Muktsar town recently. A CCTV video shows a man dragging the woman in broad daylight across a street while she is struggling and shouting for help. The incident occurred on March 25.

Several people and vehicles are seen in the video but no one stopped to help the Dalit woman.

Meanwhile, the National Commission for Scheduled Castes has taken note of the incident and summoned top Muktsar Police officers demanding an explanation over the delay in arresting the accused.
