Woman, 40, Arrested For Stripping Rival Naked In Public During Squabble

A woman, Yinka Alabi, had a nasty experience in Lagos State with the attendant embarrassment after she was stripped naked in public during a squabble with her rival, Okuokiemufe, over an undisclosed matter.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Oluruntobi Street, Fatoki area of Egan in the outskirts of Lagos, where they reside.
The 40-year old Okuokiemufe has been arrested and charged before the Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and assault on the victim, Yinka Alabi.
According to the Police, the defendant had a disagreement with the victim. She then went to her shop, assaulted, tore her gown and she was naked in public.
It took the intervention of the neighbours, who came to her rescue and covered her nakedness but by then she had already been embarrassed.
The matter was reported at the Police Igando Division and the defendant was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her conduct.
After thorough interrogation and being found culpable, she was then charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
She pleaded not guilty when she was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.K. Dosumu, granted her bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum and ordered her remand in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
The matter was adjourned till 22nd February, 2023, for mention.
