The Tainos were the first original settlers in Hispaniola

The Tainos were the first original settlers in Hispaniola island which is now of course the Dominican republic. It was in fact the famed explorer Christopher Columbus who discovered this indigenous Indian

civilisation upon landing on the island on October 12th 1492 in his quest to find a quicker trade route to India thinking he was closer than he actually was. Eventually this fascinating little known about indigenous tribe were wiped out by conquerors and disease with only a very small number of families today who hold the bloodline of the Taino. So with all that said, the Taino worshipped a deity known as the Zemi an image which wascarved into countless numbers of artefacts and made into enigmatic figurines which have thankfully survived because it gives us a good idea what Zemi looked like. It was said that Zemi could act at will to influence the development of human life and the environment along with cohabiting with us to the point of even interbreeding with us allegedly. I have supplied a curious looking figurine of this powerful sky god that the Taino venerated and to me this little known about influencer of human affairs seems to be wearing what could well be interpreted as a protective space suit and helmet.

If Zemi did indeed arrive from the heavens as the Taino were convinced then it would then make sense to assume that the visitor or visitors would come prepared for an unknown atmosphere and conditions. Just to conclude it's also worth noting that the Taino also recorded sky beings they referred to as cemíes and religiously (No pun intended) believed in a Supreme Being whom they called Yucahu, Protector Maócoti Bagua, whose mother was Atabey the Mother of Waters who would conceive these cemíes who dwelt in the skies. However with all that said, our trusty scholars and history book bearers would have you believe that all of this incredibly important and well preserved ancient knowledge is simply the stuff of pure mythology, an utter travesty.👩‍🚀
