WHEN PARENTS GET OLD ...
Let them grow old with the same love that they let you grow ... let them speak and tell repeated stories with the same patience and interest that



 they heard yours as a child ... let them overcome, like so many times when they let you win ... let them enjoy their friends just as they let you … let them enjoy the talks with their grandchildren, because they see you in them ... let them enjoy living among the objects that have accompanied them for a long time, because they suffer when they feel that you tear pieces of this life away ... let them be wrong, like so many times you have been wrong and they didn’t embarrass you by correcting you ... LET THEM LIVE and try to make them happy the last stretch of the path they have left to go; give them your hand, just like they gave you their hand when you started your path! ❤

A magnificent castle founded on the top of a hill could be seen over the horizon, with grandiose walls surrounding it's premises.

A magnificent castle founded on the top of a hill could be seen over the horizon, with grandiose walls surrounding it's premises. The gates of the castle were wide open and the carriages of rich nobles trooped in. The air seemed lighter,  the sun seemed to have a noble glow to it. Cherry smiles and laughter could be seen and heard all around. Inside one of the castle rooms, a beautiful young lady stood watching the crowd of nobles below through the window of her room. She rubbed her fingers against the flat end of a wooden necklace that had three sevens grafted on it's surface. It was a departing gift from someone dear to her. Her eyes were dull and lacked excitement. The merry seemed to be non-existent within the walls of her luxurious room. "Lady Rose! Are you dressed yet? What Life in Ancient Rome Was Really Like No other civilization in human history has fascinated the world quite like the Roman Empire. On the battlefield, the Romans were a force the world had never seen before, an unparalleled war machine that could sweep through cities and absorb entire countries into its borders.  At the heart of it all was Rome, the epicenter of the world. But what was it really like to live there? Where did the common Roman person live? What were the Roman games really like? Alfred Vivian Minchin (27th of January 1917

Alfred Vivian Minchin (27th of January 1917 –  February 1998) was a British merchant seaman captured on the 28th of March 1942 when the SS Empire Ranger, a cargo ship that was part of a Murmansk convoy, was sunk off Norway by German bombers. The Murmansk convoy was an Arctic convoy that delivered war supplies to the Soviet Union. As a prisoner he joined the Waffen-SS’s British Free Corps, holding the rank of Sturmmann, meaning Storm man in English, and reportedly suggested the unit’s name. On the 8th of  March 1945, VE Day, he was in the SS hospital at Lichterfelde-West in Berlin being treated for scabies. After liberation he faced trial at the Old Bailey in London, and on the 5th of February 1946 he was convicted of conspiring to assist the enemy, receiving seven years’ penal servitude.
