Woman runs mad in Lagos after alighting from SUV




A middle-aged woman on Wednesday caused a stir at Obalende Bus Stop in Ikoyi -Obalende Local Council Area of Ikoyi, Lagos when she suddenly threw away her bag containing clothes and other items and shouted “my head.”

The woman removed her skirt and started running around the bus stop shouting “where is the man? Where is the man? I am finished.”..
Eyewitnesses informed PM NEWS that the woman started behaving strangely a few minutes after she alighted from a black-coloured Toyota SUV and brought out money from her bag to buy a loaf of bread from a hawkerThe incident attracted a huge crowd in the area and caused traffic build-up.

Though the cause of her strange behaviour was not known as of the time of writing this report, witnesses alleged that the owner of the SUV might be a suspected ritualist, popularly called ‘Yahoo Yahoo boys’ and that he might have used her for ritual purposes.

Speaking with PM NEWS at the scene, a second-hand clothes seller in the area who identified himself simply as Chimela said: “I was shading by my wears when I saw a black coloured Toyota SUV parked opposite me on the road and a middle-aged woman alighted from the SUV“I was shocked for a few minutes after the SUV zoomed off, the woman who brought out money from her bag to buy bread from a hawker suddenly threw her bag on a major road and shouted my head and started removing her underwear and started running around everywhere shouting. I believe the owner of the SUV must have used her for ritual purposes

Today in Hampton History 1861 - Confederate troops systematically  burn the entire town of Hampton. Brig. Gen. John B. Magruder issued the order after reading a letter from U.S. Maj. Gen. Benjamin F. Butler, printed in the New York Tribune, outlining plans for self-emancipated “Contrabands”* to settle there.  Butler’s dispatch also argued that Freedom Seekers escaping slavery should be treated as free men, women, and children entitled to the “free enjoyment of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Magruder, enraged at Butler’s plan to “colonize them [the Contrabands] at Hampton, the home of most of their owners,” ordered local troops under Capt. Who are this Sea People a Naval Raiders from the late bronze age? They are considered one of the major contributing causes to the bronze age collapse,  which saw the decline and fall of several ancient civilizations around 1150 - 1250 BC. Throwback to the remarkable history of the Dominican Church of the Annunciation in Vittoriosa.  During a heavy WWII attack, the church suffered immense damage, losing invaluable historic and artistic treasures. The ornate nave, adorned with delicate paintings by Lazzaro Pisani, the sacristy, and most of the priory were destroyed. Remarkably, the dome remained suspended on three pillars until heavy rains two weeks later caused its collapse, erasing two years of artistic work by Gian Battista Conti before it could be fully appreciated. In this photo from DOI archives, the Church's Dome is in fact missing.  The resilient Dominican community returned in December 1942, and the church was finally completed in August 1960.  Today, it stands as a testament to perseverance, with its stunning artworks by Emvin Cremona, Rafel Bonnici Calì, and Ganni Vella continuing to inspire.
