Topless Women and Pedestrian Plazas Will Stay in Times Square

Image
Topless Women and Pedestrian Plazas Will Stay in Times Square CITY HALL — Both the pedestrian plazas and topless ladies of Times Square aren't going anywhere.  A task force appointed by Mayor Bill de Blasio has agreed to the idea of designated areas for the women and costumed characters to solicit tips from tourists, but the details have yet to be worked out. On the John Gambling show on Thursday, the mayor called the idea of sanctioning off the Times Square area "a very strong recommendation," adding the plan was still being finalized.  De Blasio then added that Times Square performers, such as the costume characters and the "desnudas", should be considered as businesses and therefore conform to city regulations and pay taxes.  "The goal is that, if it’s a business, it’s a business, and it should be treated like any other business," he said. De Blasio appointed the task force, which examined a series of recommendations from a panel of elected official

Spain's first naked dining experience is opening on the island of Tenerife following the success of a similar venture in London. Italian-born restaurateur Tony de Leonardis opens Innato, a nudist restaurant on the biggest of the Canary Islands, where diners will be asked to leave the accoutrements of modern life – namely their clothes and mobile phones – and"get back to basics". For the all-inclusive price of €70 diners will be invited to enjoy a buffet of organic dishes, all "served on the naked skin of a youth," according to an interview with De Leonardis published in La Opinion de Tenerife. In fact waiting staff will double up as serving tables wearing loin cloths and vine leaves to protect their modesty. De Leonardis has even overcome the problem of where to keep your wallet to pay your meal when you are in nothing but your birthday suit. "We will charge diners at the door before they undress," he said. Innato will open in the town of San Isidro on

SEX IS SWEET BUT THERE IS POISON IN BETWEEN THE LEGS".

Image
"SEX IS SWEET BUT THERE IS POISON IN BETWEEN THE LEGS". Most downfalls of men are caused by MULTIPLE girlfriends. Sex is a spiritual encounter I stand to be corrected, not every girl has a good spirit, some are demon, some has poison in between their legs. Some are killers and destiny destroyers, be careful. Worst is a man who can't control his sexual urge. A man who can control his sexual urge is a man who can live many years on earth. 1. Having many girlfriends does not make you a man. It only makes you a womanizer, a cheat, sinner and a boy. 2. A real man has only one woman(wife) in his life. 3. For the fact that you are good in bed does not make you a man. A real man is the man who does not run away from his responsibility but faces it squarely. 4. You don't need to sag your trousers and walk round the street before girls will love you. Infact it is only small boys that sag trousers and it is premature little girls that fall in love with men who sag trousers. 5. Do

London's First Naked Restaurant Has a Waiting List of 25,000 People There’s a naked pop-up restaurant coming to London and it’s not a joke. Adventurous Londoners are about to get a chance to dine in the buff at the city’s first ever naked restaurant. Called The Bunyadi - named after a Hindi word meaning ‘natural’ - the three-month pop-up will offer guests the chance to “experience true liberation.” Speaking to the The Washington Post, founder Seb Lyall said it’s a social experiment as well as a restaurant that has been stripped of all unnecessary, industrialsed items. This means no artificial lighting, no plastics, metals or smartphone and an option of no clothing for the guests. Guests will eat with edible cutlery and candles will provide natural lighting. Pictures will be banned promises “a secret Pangea-like world” and shows two sections within the restaurant, one for the ’non naked’ and another for the ‘naked and pure’. The food will be be served as a five-course meal costing b

Tokyo's Naked Pop-Up Restaurant Has Weight and Age Restrictions

Tokyo's Naked Pop-Up Restaurant Has Weight and Age Restrictions Dining sans clothing: so hot right now? Naked pop-up restaurants have recently been announced in London and Melbourne, and the latest city to get on board with au naturel dining experiences is Tokyo. According to Rocket News, the Amrita — apparently the Sanskrit word for "immortality" — will hit Tokyo on July 29. Unlike its predecessors, this pop-up will have some downright discriminatory entrance policies: Patrons must be between the ages of 18 and 60, and cannot be more than 15 kilograms (approximately 33 pounds) above the "average" weight for their height; "Diners who don’t appear to be within the desired weight range upon arrival will be weighed at the door and if they are found to be overweight, they will be denied access with no refunds." (Yes, really.) The irony is that the company is using a painting by Peter Paul Rubens in its promotional materials. Rubens, of course, is famous fo

That naked restaurant in London now has almost 30,000 people on the waiting list A new pop-up restaurant coming to central London this summer will give diners the option to eat in the nude The Bunyadi, which is opening in June for three months, will be split into clothed and unclothed sections, and even feature staff in the nude with certain body parts covered up, Time Out reports. The concept is already wildly popular. When Business Insider first wrote about the restaurant on April 20, nearly 4,000 people had signed up for tickets. Just a week later, there are over 28,000 people on the waiting list on the restaurant's website. Created by the pop-up company Lollipop, The Bunyadi will extend its naked theme to the menu, with vegan and non-vegan dishes made with all-natural ingredients and cooking methods, and served on handmade clay plates with edible cutlery, according to a press release from the event creators. "The idea is to experience true liberation," Seb Lyall, the

The Tankgewehr M1918

Image
The Tankgewehr M1918, also known as the Mauser 13mm anti-tank rifle, was first produced in January 1918 for the sole purpose of destroying armoured vehicles. 170cm long and weighing 19kg the rifle was the only anti-tank rifle to see service in  World War I. Although a limited number saw active service, approximately 16,900 were produced, with some ending up in British hands. You can see this incredible weapon at the Hooge Crater museum in Belgium.  For school tours to the museum (including a excellent living history experience in recreated German and British trenches) book with Zeitgeist Tours for Schools.

Over 315 years ago, [7/2/1706], Kimpa Vita was burned alive with her son on her back by Catholic missionaries Kimpa Vita was killed for preaching the return to roots, African/Kongo traditions, and the return to Mbanza-Kongo land now in Congo of her ancestors that was abandoned after the death of the sovereign Vita-A-Nkanga in the famous Battle of Mbwila (Ambuila - 1665).   Kimpa Vita was killed because she advised the Kongo people to abandon foreign beliefs (Catholicism), and for conducting a spiritual struggle against the Portuguese. She was baptized with the name of Ana Beatriz when she was a child.  But when he started her fight, she rejected the baptism name and adopted the name, "Kimpa Vita or Kimpa Kya Nvita" which means " *NEW WAY TO MAKE WAR"*.  A war that she considered spiritual. *Kimpa Vita was burned alive with her son on her back by Catholic missionaries.*

Lighter, Amphibious, Resupply, Cargo, Fifteen Ton (LARC XV) LARC XV-78

Image
Lighter, Amphibious, Resupply, Cargo, Fifteen Ton (LARC XV) LARC XV-78 In the 1950's the Army set about creating a new generation of Amphibians to replace the DUKW.  Three vehicles came out of this; The LARC V, LARC XV, and The BARC LX  (renamed in the early 60's to LARC LX.).  The LARC XV was more of a counterpart to the smaller LARC V (5-Ton), providing the Army with a long range medium capacity cargo carrier. The LARC XV had an aluminum hull, four wheels, and a folding front ramp for self loading of vehicles.  The LARC XV was also large enough to fit a single MILVAN onto its deck.  The unique Plexiglas bubble allowed the driver to see over tall cargo on the deck. The LARC XV's did not see as much use that the smaller LARC V's and even the larger BARC LX's (LARC LX) in their career and they started to be retired in the 1980's in favor of the short lived LACV-30.

Image
LARC-LX The LARC-LX LARC-LX (Lighter, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo, 60 ton), or as it was originally designated BARC (Barge, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo) is a welded steel hulled amphibious cargo vehicle. It could carry up to 100 tons of cargo or 200 people, but a more typical load was 60 tons of cargo or 120 people. The vehicle was powered by four 265 hp (198 kW) GMC diesel engines positioned in the sides of the hull, each of which drove one wheel on land. Pairs of engines were  coupled to drive each of the two 1.2 m (47 in) diameter propellers, which propelled the vehicle in the water. Its top speed was 20 mph (32 km/h) on land, or 7.5 mph (12.1 km/h) afloat. The operator occupied a small cab on the port side at the aft end of the vehicle. The LARC-LX was used to transport wheeled and tracked vehicles, including beach  preparation equipment and general cargo, from ship-to-shore or to inland transfer points. It was also capable of transporting 40 ft (12 m) shipping containers, which coul

See the face of a Roman slave crucified in ancient Britain 1,700 years ago Archaeologists in 2017 unearthed a significant historical find in Cambridgeshire, England – the remains of a Roman slave who met a brutal end through crucifixion during the third or fourth century CE. This extraordinary discovery has led to a comprehensive digital facial approximation. The man, believed to be between 25 and 35 years old at the time of his death, was found buried in a cemetery alongside more than 40 others who displayed signs of rigorous manual labor. The skeleton is described as “battered” and unique due to the preservation of a nail in his heel.

A magnificent castle founded on the top of a hill could be seen over the horizon, with grandiose walls surrounding it's premises. The gates of the castle were wide open and the carriages of rich nobles trooped in. The air seemed lighter,  the sun seemed to have a noble glow to it. Cherry smiles and laughter could be seen and heard all around. Inside one of the castle rooms, a beautiful young lady stood watching the crowd of nobles below through the window of her room. She rubbed her fingers against the flat end of a wooden necklace that had three sevens grafted on it's surface. It was a departing gift from someone dear to her. Her eyes were dull and lacked excitement. The merry seemed to be non-existent within the walls of her luxurious room. "Lady Rose! Are you dressed yet? The ceremony is about to begin" the sound of a knock was heard in the room, accompanied by the voice of one of the King's servant.  Silence prevailed until the door creaked open as Rose's

The Motor Scout is the First “Armored” Car The Motor Scout is the First “Armored” Car   It may look hilarious, but this is actually the grandfather of all AFVs that have ever been created. The Motor Scout is a very humble machine, but for its day it was on the cutting edge. Its designer, merged two brand new pieces of technology; the automobile, and the machinegun, in a forward thinking vehicle that provided mobile and high speed firepower. The late 19th century was a period of rapid technological advancements, with significant progress in automotive technology. The world’s first automobile had been unveiled in 1886, beginning a new era of human travel that we still rely on today. Back then, it wasn’t clear what direction this new technology was heading, or what it would even be used for. They were quite literally writing the rule book as they went However, as is typical with any new technology, it didn’t take long for someone to see its military value. Frederick Richard Simms, an infl
